Colored Diamonds, like all diamonds, are legendary for their hardness and durability, resistant to general wear and tear. The colors attained using irradiation will only be affected by exposure to extremely high temperatures (450º C/900º F or above). Whereas, Coated Ice Pink diamonds are resistant to general wear and tear, unless they’re subjected to extreme temperatures (above 400 C) or the coating on the pavilion is exposed to acids or abrasive materials (recutting or exposure to jewelry polishing wheel). |
